Must do in Barcelona

Soak up some sun!

Well, you probably already guessed this one didn’t you? Can you really go to Barcelona and not visit any of the amazing beaches? We certainly don’t think so! What is great about the beaches in Barcelona is the variety.

There are small hidden beaches perfect for rest and relaxation and sprawling beaches ideal for sports, games, and families, and that is just a small sample of what you can find. Now, you might need to do a bit of traveling to find your dream beach, but that is all part of the fun.

Many beaches in Barcelona also have onsite or nearby cafes and bars; these are sometimes known as chiringuitos. So, you can take a break to grab a snack and a cool cocktail before heading back to the sand to relax.

Now there is clearly more to Barcelona than just beaches, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t fun, does it? Everyone can enjoy a trip to the beach whether they want to play volleyball, hit the waves, or simply soak up some sun.

Go, treasure hunting!

Well, I bet you didn’t expect this one, did you? But before you get ready to dive for sunken treasure, this treasure is a little different, and it can be found at the amazing Encants Market. This market is one of the oldest in Europe and home to many amazing local shops and stores.

Buying second-hand goods at these markets is a local tradition, and anyone visiting Barcelona should definitely visit them. You never know what you might find as you search through the many stalls.

You could easily spend a whole day at the market, and you can literally find almost anything from furniture to jewelry, clothes to toys, tourist knick-knacks, and practically everything else. You could easily spend a whole day searching through the market to find your very own hidden treasures.
Plus, thanks to the many amazing food and drink eateries, you don’t have to worry about getting breakfast, lunch, or dinner. In fact, many people go to the market solely to get some local cuisine, so it’s well worth visiting for this alone.

Get Some Photos At The Bostik Murals

This is a more modern take on a museum and a great place to go if you want to get some truly amazing photographs to commemorate your trip to Barcelona. Rather than traditional paintings and sculptures, the Bostik Murals celebrates graffiti art!

The artwork has been painted (or sprayed) directly onto the walls of the Nau Bostik. You’ll find work by many local artists, and the murals even change over time, so who knows, you might be able to see brand new artwork during your visit!
It’s a great way to celebrate local art and a must-visit if you want to get some stunning photographs. Students and visitors can also try their hand at mural painting at certain times throughout the year as well.
